Will it do anything to the engine if you take the muffler off the car and run it with out the muffler?
other than making a really loud noise

someone asked this before, and theres a site somewhere that explains all this. im not sure where it is, but i have a vague memory of the reason. the back pressure i think keeps the fuel from going straight through the engine? sounds right to me, but thats just me

I'd imagine it would have a negative effect on performance since the 2 stroke engines we use rely on the pipe dyanmics and backpressure to aid in performance.

do not do it there will not be enough backpressure to supply enough fuel, since the oil is contained in the fuel, there will not be enough oil and your engine will probably sieze up

DO NOT DO THIS. This will make your engine explode. It need the back pressure for the engine to run right. Just keep the exhaust pipe on it. Good luck.
