o well ur not suppoosed 2 let it out
just get a new pull start
and remember next time
when u take it off hold the spindle thingy
and tape it down until u put it back in
so the spring doesnt pop out

I highly reccomend that you get a spare pullstart. They are usually rebuildable but it's seldom easy and each one is slightly different. And if something has broken - like the spring or it's anchor points then it can be more difficult or impossable. I like having a spare to put on so that I can rebiuild a broken one at my leisure.

My pullstart won't recoil on my .21 hyper 7 motor, is that a one way bearing or maybe something inside the pullstart?

If it wont retract all the way you need to put a bit more tension on it (think it's in the link) pull the cord out 4-5" then hold the bobbin with your thumb, now hook the rope out inside and wind it round the bobbin..this will put the spring under more tension....you get me?

Your problem could be same as above or the bobbin may be binding.Could be fixed by a washer between bobbin and backplate or it could be that the pullstart assy is screwed down too tightly distorting the case.
