Eddie???

Hey Eddie I will be ordering the tuned pipe for my truck (it will come tomorrow) but will this part also fit my truck : 02031A Polished Aluminium Manifold+Pad

ehroof 08-03-2008 09:21 PM

RE: Eddie???

yes it will but the header that comes with it is a good one also, its not a manifold like some of the older style hsp rc's

hooleydog 08-03-2008 09:25 PM

RE: Eddie???

Ok But I did notice that the Polished Aluminium Manifold is a bit shorter than the one that comes with the truck.. but your saying that they are roughly the same though..

ehroof 08-03-2008 09:45 PM

RE: Eddie???

its a non restrictive header, the 02031a is a shorter one but i think with the gearing you want a little more torque, its just my opinion but i left the stock header on all my megap's and used the 02124 pipe on a few of them.

RE: Eddie???

Ok I might still get it cos its only 6 bucks I think.. Oh something else how about coming out with a Metal drive gear (Spur gear) so we could replace the plastic one cos I would be first in line to buy some ..

ehroof 08-04-2008 09:35 AM

RE: Eddie???

we are working on that but the megap's gears are really good, we have no real problem with them, if meshed correctly you good with them. I like plastic because it keeps the shock off the diff gears.

RE: Eddie???

I know that your right Eddie but I'm gonna fit a .21 in the truck later on so I'll need a metal gear for that extra power.. I see it that a 1:8 truck should have a .21 engine in it "LOL" so I'll need this parts to beef up my truck (I hope that you have them in stock)

ehroof 08-04-2008 02:56 PM

RE: Eddie???

should go for 89.99

hooleydog 08-04-2008 03:30 PM

RE: Eddie???

Ok thats a good price but will I need a differenet engine mount to fit it into the MXT-2S...

ehroof 08-04-2008 03:35 PM

RE: Eddie???

Since the .21 is a big block you will probably have to redrill the chassis and you could use the original mounts, i put a .26ss in a mamba and i had to change the mounting holes in the chassis, we also have adjustable motor mounts that may work good too. You will have to use a different flywheel, clutch shoes and a clutch nut, when you are ready, i will give you a list of stuff you will need, i have all that you will need to do it. :)

hooleydog 08-04-2008 04:05 PM

RE: Eddie???

Thanks Eddie Could you do the list for me today if you can cos I'm going to do this project right away, so I'll get those parts first and a spare chassie just in case I screw up redrilling the holes LOL..

ehroof 08-04-2008 04:09 PM

RE: Eddie???

hooleydog 08-04-2008 04:15 PM

RE: Eddie???

Hey bro,

you will need the following:

81020: http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himo...&=SID#MOREINFO

81203: http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himo...&=SID#MOREINFO

you could use the stock pipe but you will find it better with a 1/8 pipe: http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himo...&=SID#MOREINFO

i am pretty sure you should be able to use the stock motor mounts, you will just have to drill the chassis, you could try these: http://server.sohouniverse.net/~himo...&=SID#MOREINFO
