Firestorm 10T pull start issues...
Hey guys/gals I'm new to this site and r/c cars in general. I recently purchased a used 10T from a buddy of mine and was told that the pull start was faulty. I was given another pul start and it turns out it's more complex than I thought.
The problem is that when starting my car I get 0 compression and the pull cord just slides out and doesn't crank the engine. Is there a way to fix this issue without replacing parts. I believe it has something to do with the starting pin and pressure spring not catching on the starter shaft. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gavin |

Sounds as if you need a one way bearing if you have already put a pull starter on it.

Thanks, I did check the bearing and it seems fine. The only thing I thought was that with the pressure and speed of the pull start it may be slipping.
Any other thoughts? |

If you pull it slow does the engine turn over? Does the fly wheel turn? if it doesn't it really points the finger at the one way bearing.
