Default Firestorm 10T pull start issues...

Hey guys/gals I'm new to this site and r/c cars in general. I recently purchased a used 10T from a buddy of mine and was told that the pull start was faulty. I was given another pul start and it turns out it's more complex than I thought.
The problem is that when starting my car I get 0 compression and the pull cord just slides out and doesn't crank the engine.

Is there a way to fix this issue without replacing parts. I believe it has something to do with the starting pin and pressure spring not catching on the starter shaft.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gavin

Sounds as if you need a one way bearing if you have already put a pull starter on it.

Thanks, I did check the bearing and it seems fine. The only thing I thought was that with the pressure and speed of the pull start it may be slipping.

Any other thoughts?

If you pull it slow does the engine turn over? Does the fly wheel turn? if it doesn't it really points the finger at the one way bearing.
