Do Not Remove Your Fail Safe!!!!

a fail safe is a little device about the size of your thumb that will return the throttle to the preset position in case of signal loss/interference, low battery,

a rubber band can be used as a throttle return incase you battery goes 100% dead on you / it will closed the carb so that it can not vibrate open into full throttle.

a fail safe works for al interference and when your battery gets very low.

i think some fail safes kick in at different volts on going low.
i had to rechage my 5 cell hum pack yesterday after 2-3 hours of bashing due to the fail safe kicking in on me . but i'd rather do that then have what happened before happen again.

My venom FS kicks in at 4.2v, which is about normal but too low for my 6v (5v per cell minimum), so I won't know if my 5-cell is dead until it goes below the cut off range, I wish Venom made it adjustable for the threashold.

I used a 2 cm wide rubber band on my GS motor, it actually melted apart and came off, I'm going to use O-rings instead.

Like this one in the picture, it won't be that effective if the power switch is turned off and the servo is still on. It's more useful for when the throttle link actually breaks off, a fail safe is better off for when the radio actually fails.
If you lose power, so does your servo, there is no way the servo can still be on if your power is off......"No more power, no more pull"! There should be no reason a properly set TRS shouldnt bring it back to idle or darn close. The only thing a TRS wont help with is outside gitches like radio interferance, or a shorted servo, thats where the failsafe comes in.

i have the Venom fail safe also and a reedy 5 cell hump pack in the car.

it's an 1100 pack and i swear it should last longer then it is.

yesterday i did not even get a full day out of it before having to recharge.

anyone know a time span one of these might last?
