Default newbie q

I am in the process of putting together an old car that has a stick style transmitter. The receiver and servo/esc are still in good working order. My question is this. My receiver is futaba and I am looking at either getting an airtronics or hitec pistol grip transmitter. Provided the frequecy and channels are the same will the Airtronics/Hitec transmitter work well with my futaba receiver.

TIA

You'll get a receiver with the transmitter so if it doesn't work with your current receiver just install the new one
