Hitec HS-645MG problem
Well first post here so hi everyone ,hopefully someone can help me.
I've been using a Hitec hs-645mg for the throttle and rear brake on my marder and it's been fine until the weekend.
Now its operating at about 1/4 of the speed it used to and when it centres it goes about half way past centre then comes to rest in the centre.
I've checked all the radio and batteries and everything is fine so its looking like i got water in the servo,my fault i know but its so much fun in the mud
What i need to know is can i buy a replacement cicuit board for this servo,i found the spare gears and cases etc but no sign of the board.Any other suggestions are welcome aswell,i may be barking up the wrong tree.
Cheers

RE: Hitec HS-645MG problem
Ummm....
It's a $39 servo. A gear kit is $20, a circuit board is gonna be about the same.
Figure in your labor (er. labour ), and I think it's clear that a new servo is the best option!!
And while you're at it, you might wanna get a better Hitec or another brand. The 645 is OK, but it's not all that reliable & has lots of "centering issues".

I have sent several servos back to HiTec, and they have always taken care of them without any questions. JR has done the same for me on several occasions.

Hitec makes a servo #5645 that is much higher torque than the 645,is digital and has no centering issues. It is also advertised as waterproof. Its about 60 bucks american.

Since you are in the UK it may cost you to repair it. Contact Amerange 44-190-376-5496
Digital servos can be used with any radio.
What size vehicle is the Marder?
The HS-525MG has always been a good choice for throttle/brake in 1/10th vehicles but the 945MG is currently the best choice for larger.

iv'e gave up on the repair idea now but thanks for the number.
the marders a 1/6 scale off roader and the servo needs to pull cable front brakes aswell,if i need to i could always modify the radio tray to take a jumbo servo
