Default Convert 75Mhz to UK

I have a Airtronics MX3 in the 75Mhz frequency. Is it possible to convert it to uk spec. I noticed that this frequency is for Runway Marker Beacons and i happen to live less than a mile away from the local airport so i don't want to upset anyone.

Any help would be welcome..

Default RE: Convert 75Mhz to UK

I just bought the same Radio , From what I hear MX3 Transmitters are (Rumored) to be able to use either 75mhz or 27mhz, & would only require a Receiver change (can anyone Confirm/Deny this?), but I kindof doubt that. (check your Owners manual or e-mail Airtronics)

the main most widely known method is to send the Set to The mfr & have them change the transmitter over to 27mhz & swap the 75mhz receiver for a 27mhz.

But if you can get them to or not is another story...

Let me know how things work out

Quick note, I have e-mailled Airtronics asking what can be done, I will post the reply once I get it.[8D]

personaly, I think I would be in the clear as far as i can tell (nearest airport is about 40-50 miles away)
and I am moving back to the US hopefully early next year.

Hello,

The only thing you can do is exchange it from where you purchased it.

Thank you,

Know of one in the UK?
It'd Cost me around $60-$70 to ship my MX3 to the one in the US....[]
