Airtronics MX-3
Question....... I'm about to purchase this radio and I'm confuse, it says 5 model memory is that the same thing as synthesized but with crystals, will you be able to control 5 different cars with this unit?

If a radio is synthesized it means that you can shift the transmitters frequency electronically. It's the same as changing crystals in a non-synthesized radio. It has nothing to do with how many cars you got, but the synthesized gives you an easy and cheaper possibility of avoiding interference.
If the tx has 5-model memory it can remember the settings for five different cars so you don't have to reset every setting every time you switch cars.
