Default Having a problem,very confused,please help.

I recently purchased a used XXXN-T AD without receiver. I purchased a JR R125 rx to match my JR XR2I transmitter. Here is where the fun begins; My batteries are charged,no metal rubbing,no nicks in wire, antenna fully extended, multiple sets of crystals. In spite of everything I can only be about 10 feet away from the truck and still have control. I can switch everything over to my XXX-t and it all works just fine. Anyone with any idea whats going on?[]

Sounds like you've covered the bases. It works fine with good range in the electric, but not in the nitro?

Have you tried a radio test in the nitro with the motor not running? Get a buddy to hold the truck and walk away to see what kind of range you get.

If you get proper range with engine off, then it has to be something engine or vibration related.

You could also try temporarily relocating the rx in the truck and see if that makes a difference.
