Default Spread Specturm versus synthesized??

Hey guys,

I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to radios, and I am a bit confused. Does a radio like the Spektrum just go out and find a channel whereas some synthesized radios you manually turn a knob or something to select your frequency?

Just wondering if they are two different technologies.

Thanks!

Default RE: Spread Specturm versus synthesized??

Synthesized is just the ability to transmit and recieve on the same frequencies that you would normally have to change crystals for eliminateing the need to buy crystals but still have the possibly of frequency conflicts.

Spektrum, DSM works on a 2.4Ghz Tech that binds with your reciever in your car, that reciever has a unique code that no other reciever will have thus eliminating frequency conflicts.
