Default M11 DSSS reciever/LiPoly

I have the M11 DSSS module and reciever and I am wanting to switch over to LiPoly batteries for my reciever.I already have LiPoly for the transmitter, but my question is the manual says the DSSS receiver is not eqipped with BEC circuitry and not to use anything over 6 volts or it will fry,but the regulator I am looking at is rated at 6.2 volts/5A,is that extra .2 volts really going to hurt my reciever ? Or are they just telling you to be that carefull?
