You can get other 2.4GHz radios and the Traxxas wouldn't be on the top of my list. Look at the Spektrum DX 2.0... It is $150 on A Main right now and comes with the Tx, Rx and servos. It has many more controls, (e.g. dual rate steering, proportional steering/throttle, end point adjustments, 2 model memory and more). The Traxxas offering still doesn't even give dual rate or end point adjustment which is just silly to me and its still analog pots to control trims. Traxxas needed to retire that radio and they didn't. It can't hold a candle feature wise to some of the other offerings.

I didnt even know Traxxas had a 2.4GHz radio. Is that a standard TRX radio just with 2.4GHz innards?

This is the only infor I was able to fid on it: http://www.traxxas.com/scripts/trxne...117d654755f9c5

Until now, I didnt even know Traxxas was even making a 2.4GHz radio set.

Yup, they sure are. Same old outdated TQ body too.. I am pretty shocked.

Based on the pic, if the RX next to the TQ is the correct size, I am certain it will fit in a standard Traxxas electronics box with ease, so yes, it should fit in the woterproof box. Now, if the "mini" is bigger than the regular old TQ RX, then making it fit and cramming all the wires in might be tricky.

I wish Traxxas would have given the dims of the RX for this one.

You can use a rechargeable 6V pack with the DX2.0. All receivers are compatible with 6V packs.

The Slash uses a 2216 Micro receiver stock-

Length: 1.5" (38.5mm)
Width: 0.98" (25mm)
Height: 0.83" (21.3mm)

I don't really consider that micro...

The Spektrum Receiver (SR3000) that comes with the DX2.0 is:

Length:1.62"
Width: 1.06"
Height: .057"

So, you will want to make sure your receiver box has an extra .12" in length and .08" in width to fit the Spektrum receiver.

If you mean for the transmitter, this should work: [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_61_200/products_id/22542]http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_61_200/products_id/22542[/link]
