Default KO Propo EX-5 UR

Well, I tried posting in the other radio's section and got no replies, so I figure more of the right people might come along here.

So, anyone got one or know of a review of one?
I am thinking about getting one sometime soon and would like to know what they are like first.

Cheers.

KO Propo has been around for a LONG time. They make excellent equipment, the only issue is that they are hard to find service for.

My little review:
â—quite good hand feel.
â—light weight 312g(without 8AA battery)
â—response pretty fast.
â—TX display no back light, no power on led indicator, but include the power off forgotten alarm function ~ 5mins.
â—when power on the 4pk & ex5ur after 1hour , still steady & no interference at all.
â—KR407S include fail-safe function.
â—also compatible KR-408S RX.

Will be test it again later......

Thanks for watching.

Cheers mate!

How long does it last on a set of batts?
Any batt packs suitable that you know of?

Whats the range like?
Does it feel nice and solid?
Is the on screen menu easy to navigate and change settings?
What does the wheel feel like? I prefer the more kinda solid foam over the hard rubber but I spose this could be changed.
Does the trigger and wheel feel nice as in resistence/smoothness (one of the things I do not like about the losi 2.4 I have now, feels loose and doesnt have a positive feeling (if that makes sense)).
Where is the 3rd channel switch, which I understand is a 5-way?

I assume this would stomp all the other no-name 2.4g radios that are flooding the market that range from $99 to $200?

Most importantly do you feel that it was good value for the radio?
I think it is excellent value, $140US for a KO-Propo 2.4g 3ch computer radio with 2 recivers sounds quite impressive to me.
The reciver looks mighty small too.

Thanks mate.

1. 2500mah AA around 12hrs.
2. no battery plug inside, need to diy futaba plug then can use lipo pack .
3. 80m radius
4. hand feel is good & the housing is solid but I dont like the fixed plastic antenna like toy grade , light weight 312g(without battery)
5. screen menu easy to navigate and change settings.
6. wheel rubber is not so hard, quite ok for me.
7. trigger resistance between medium to hard feeling, wheel resistance like medium level feeling.
8. 3rd channel switch is on the handle 2nd position.

9. $140 is best value , made in japan & come with two rx. just my 2cents.

If you don't mind no mixing channel feature , get one now.

Cheers for the reply mate, appreciate it.

I did think that the antenna was fixed but was hoping that was just the way it looked, it would be far nicer if it atleast folded down or was a stubby like the one on the Sanwa MX3 FHSS radio.
Does it feel like it could be easily broken?

Thanks for the pic too!

I can't really think of many uses for channel mixing for ground vehicles, so it's not really a problem for me I spose.

Other than that all sounds good to me, I quite like the runtime too, I have a couple of older AM radios which only last about 2-3 hours on a set of batts.

Welcome.

The TX antenna quite solid and has little bit flexible.

Here is some close-up pics for your reference:

thats cheap but I would also need a new charger too. Can I ask if the tx has a battery holder which comes out? If it does do you think it would be possible to hook it up with my charger using crocodile clips to the two terminals?? Just a thought.....

cheers
