TOP SPEED test. HPI JumpShot modified w/Reedy 550SL system
So I upgraded my Associated ProSC truck to a different Brushless motor and ESC system and now I am left with an extra Reedy SC-800 and 550SL system.
I decided to order the HPI Jumpshot RTR kit and see how much more speed and performance I can pump into it. Upon arrival, I gutted the motor and radio on the Jumpshot. Figuring it was a 2WD truck, i opted to use the Spektrum AVC system so I can dial-in the Stability function on the radio.
The Reedy SC-800 ESC fitted perfectly but I had to loose the HPI ESC cover. The Reedy 550-SL motor went in with no issues. I initially tested with the 18T Robinson Racing 5mm Pinion and felt the combination had more than ample torque so I up the pinion to 19T. The car would spin its rear wheels on asphalt easily and thrust it self to 38mph fully composed thanks to the AVC system from Spectrum.
The car is so light and so much fun to drive now.
Here is a short video of the top speed runs.

Enjoy!
