They are very hard to learn to drive, It was like a Tasmanian Devil on a Suger Rush, if anyone really wants one? get an electric one first, then move to nitro.

RE: Great Nitro Bike...
What are the controls like? I remember I had a Tyco RC Dirtbike from Walmart when I was younger. Man I wore than thing out! I used to jump it off anything I could hehe. I remember when they tore up my entire street to work on it and there were all these small dirt hills and stuff that I jumped off hehe. But the way it turned was simply to shift the entire front wheel the opposite direction of turning. By shifting the front wheel to the right of the Bike's center, it caused the bike to lean to the elft, making it turn. Is it that simply or is it more like a plane or heli?

That how all bikes work
just you do without thinking while riding. in a RC you have to think, because your not sitting on it
Turning is actually just recovering from the lean you started

These's more vid here: [link=http://www.skiptonclub.net/new_page_3.htm]Skipton Club[/link]
And you'll find some in the various post on this forum: [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=183]Motocycle foum[/link] and I've got a few here on my site: [link=http://home.comcast.net/~drillah]Drillah Dome[/link] in the movies section.
They are hard to learn to drive and I would also recommend getting an electric before a nitro unless you've got lots of patience.
There are quite a few manufacturers actually, Nuova Faor, Thunder Tiger, Bergonzoni, PT, TRD Moto, and Thunder Tiger is the only one that has not hit the stores with a nitro model yet, all the others have one available.
Get into it, it's a whole new challenge.

[img][/img]It's really weird: in all the years I've done R/C, nitro bikes seem to be sort of a specialty item that you woul donly find tucked away in a magazine or Tower Hobbies catalog. I would think they would have grown in popularity more.

Actually they are quite popular in places like the UK, Italy and Germany.
It's only just now catching on in the U.S.
Tower has put the old Kyosho 1/8 Hanging On Rider (HOR), bike back up for sale on their site. It's an old bike but a great one. It used to be sold worldwide in the '80's but only in Asia for the last several years.
Learn how to ride one of these, then step up to an electric.
The more the merrier, everybody get one.!!!
