I've been looking for a few specific video shots that I have yet to see. That doesn't mean they're not out there, I just haven't found them yet. Does anyone have a link for the types of shots described below? And if not, how about creating these videos for everyone to enjoy!!
1. The cameraman stands in line, just behind a jump as the car/truck approaches. The car is kept within the shot the whole time, even as it hits the ramp and begins to jump. The ramp trajectory is such that the car is launched up and over, clearing the stationary cameraman. The cameraman manages to lean back and over, keeping the car in the frame the whole time and filming it launching over himself, then landing on the ground behind himself and his head. Of course by this time the video would be upside down, but if its a continuous shot it would be AWESOME. A nice bonus would be a second camera angle from the side capturing this amazing feat in a wide shot.
2. A follow the leader type video where multiple vehicles, the more the better, bash around together, including and especially over jumps in very close rapid succession. The closer the vehicles could stay together, I think the better it would look. Now some may say: "watch a race", but hopefully you get what I mean. You might even refer to this style as Bumper Tag.
Now get out there and start filming!! Of course if someone chooses to try #1, I urge the cameraman to be extremely carefull! After all I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt .... but of course if you get that on tape, I'm sure everyone would like to see those early tries too.
