experiment!

thats the fun.. i mostly use mine on-road with a 8.5brushless system in it so i have my suspension as hard as possible.

i only have one problem though, it keeps throwing one of the rear wheels off, i have tried nylock nuts but they ar'nt strong enough, when i run out i will try some flangetype locking nuts, after that it will be threadlock, although this does tend to damage plastic so wowuld be a last resort

Are you running stock wheel??

I run WW-2 wheels, and use the aluminum hex adaptor... wheel never once came off before..

yeah stock wheels, the only modifacations are the esc/motor, cva shocks, metal bearigs, i tried swapping the wheel left to right but its always the right rear that comes loose, i might try swapping the half shafts to see if it is them,

they are both novak ss5800.

i bought 2 because i have found a way to join the m-03 and m-04 together, just waiting for somone to make a body i ike to fit because it is now 250mm, i have motors and esc's everywhere, when ever i buy a kit i always get a sport tuned motor too, so i have 3 standard silver cans and a spar sport tuned and 2 spare teu-101bk's.

the novak in the LB swaps from there to the m-04 for the custom chassis. on carpet it handeld a bit too well.. on full lock and on power it dug the outer wheels in and turned over!

does the axle on the right side stick out as far as the left? if it does, the problem is not with the axles, so disassembly would be a wasted effort.

<edit>
what i'm saying is, if the wheel nuts get on the axle completely, the problem is the nut, not the axle

oh yeah the gearbois perfect, i just wanted to eliminat a problem with the thread on the shafts, maybe even swapping from left to right will cure it because i think its the rotation direction of the wheel that is undoing the nut, if the thread is bit weak them swapping it from left to right will have the effect of tightening the nut on the weak shaft.

just a thought

this just occurred to me.....
if i remember correctly, i think the shafts are 2 different lengths, aren't they? if so, you won't be able to swap.

anyone have a copy of the manual handy?

and does the M03 handle the b/l well?, what brushed turn is the ss5800 equivalent to?

Did you all glue your tires to the rim?

I know Lunchboxer had to because his brushless is so fast. BUt i have not yet and one of the front tires only came off twice.

I never glued the tires on my original lunchbox!! They were so stiff they held up even to the SS4300.

Heh, I was getting wheel-spin inside the tires though, so gluing probably would have helped that situation.

try that link.

the shell is a kamtec shell for a mardave, it is 205mm wheelbase, with a bit of carefull trimming fits an m-03 perfect, it would fit a lunchbox too but is too wide in my opinion
