try looking at ebay for something like "lunchbox pinion" you should be able to find a few listings for that. one might have the part number in it.

now the electrics are in and centred, the gearbox is built up, and the rear arms have the silly springs fitted, i have just noticed that the re-re version has a modified version of these little springs with a sort of 'pig tail' effect on the end

dude that is SWEET did you spray paint all the parts? i like mine out of box. just finished the build but went on vacation so sitll have to do decals and test it when i get back. im leaving the metallic body as is. its dope. the servo is acting all squirrely. don't know if i have it set wrong but its a futaba and my tower one is pretty much problem free so im confused. but i will figure it out and i LOVE the wheely wheel/bar!!!! this thing easily looks like it could run over my hornet... IF it could catch up! i bought one set of metal bearings but realized i now had TWO cars, so i divvied up the 10 into 5 for each car gearbox, and have the bushies up front in both till i get another set.

That thing is beautiful!!! It'll be nice when the bright spots are out of my eyes from looking directly at it! You should definitely do a Gold LB; that would look sweet and match the Pumpkin on the shelf nicely.

All of shelfqueen's wonderful work has inspired me to work on the LB again. Haven't really ran it much just waiting on the pinion gear but I had a lexan shell sitting in the box for a couple of months so I decided to get to work on it. I ordered the universal HPI rims mounted the front ones the rears are back ordered from Tower. New rubber HPI Geolanders a bit smaller than the OEM Boxer tires but I'll let you guys know how they run when everything is in order. I still owe LunchBoxer a video anyways so that'll be a good time to put one together!

Hey all! I just finished my LB build and want to change the color of the rims. I've tried dyeing the yellow plastic with Rit dye, but it doesn't take. It seems like paint will flake and scratch. What are my options?

Also, do you need to glue the tires on to the rims?
