for sure the hop-ups list must have some strong dumpers on it...the plastic ones looks pretty fragile in hard terein, where the WRC will perform...:d
Any suggestion...???

I am guessing that most of those HPI shells come without holes drilled... ?! If they are pre-drilled, most likely they won't line up w/ the Tamiya body posts..
Yeah, you'd need some offset all around to fill the shell.. to be 10mm wider, you'd need extra 5mm offset on each side.. I know HPI sells standard, 3mm, and 6mm offset wheels..
Good luck and keep us posted!!

I've thought about the R35 from Tamiya however the R32 just does it more for me (in RC scale, real life R35 all the way!)

Cornel, You build your rc cars in front of your computer? Did you forget your pants that day? Haha.
Also, didn't you get the Subaru 2001 Prototype? That body looks like a 2004 model?
Cheers,
Skottoman

Not much, really.. just the aluminum center driveshaft (replaces the steel one), and the light weight TB Evo gear set (plastic one replace the metal ones..)
Everything else = stock..
Of course, now the new alloy motor mount..
But that's it... !!

RE: Tamiya TB-01 Resource Thread!
My TB02 seems to be fine with the Sidewinder 4600. I'm sure the TB01 would be fine as well.
It is possible to strengthen the drivetrain of the TB01 to TG10 Nitro standards, and I'm sure that would handle anything, as my TG10 does with my 1.5 HP .18 OS engine.
Reinforced driveshaft, Metal diff gears, Metal ring gears, Hardened outdrive cups, TG10 LongArm Universals (you know there are actually 2 different diameter axles), would all make the drivetrain almost bulletproof.
Cheers,
Skottoman

The TB-01 comes w/ metal ring gears.. I actually purposely change them out for plastic ones.. I wouldn't worry about the Tamiya plastic gears.. if anything, I have more faith in them than the pot casted metal units... I know not everyone shares my view, though, ha!!
