RE: Tamiya TA-03F Resource Thread!
Bump!
So apparently I just bought a TA03F today... It's an original Opel Calibra CLIFF car from 1996 with less than 10 runs on it! Should have it by next week!
Once I get it I'm going to run it and see what all I need to buy to get it running in tip top shape, then buy a body and replace the wheels and tires (I really don't want to use those as those are in mint condition!!) I'm also going to be pillaging my TT-01 for all of its electronics, and I have a 21T LRP GT3 motor in the mail.
Should make for some great drifting!

For sure!
The previous owner said that the drivetrain stops the car really fast, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to take it apart and possibly buy a couple of new parts for it. I also need to find a place that sells stuff for this car. I want to get a motor heatsink, ball bearings and another belt. Any good suggestions of sites that sell these things? RCMART has a lot of parts but most of them are sold out...[:@]

I would suggest go to TamiyaUSA and see if there's a manual (PDF file) available.. download that and search for the part # on the website... Good luck!

Does the TA-03R use the same bearings as the TA03F?
Would these bearings work?
http://www.amazon.com/TAMIYA-TA03R-C.../dp/B002BBK3YE
Or how about these?
http://www.toyeast.com/v3/pdtdetail....t_id=A01400876
http://www.etamiya.com/shop/hobbysav...-10003126.html
Are these non-Tamiya brands any good? They are pretty cheap (although shipping from toyeast and etamiya will probably be expensive...)
Thanks

Woohoo!
Got my car!
Along with my TT-01:
What the heck is this??
The car already came with bearings too! I'm going to be getting another body and wheels and tires in the next few days so I won't ruin the mint condition wheels and tires and body on this car.

New AE86 body!
I love how the car looks with those wheels... I'm going to feel bad about cramming PVC pipe on those wheels though so I might just get some HPI T-drifts for it!

Woot! It runs!
I got some Associated servo mounts but they didn't have any holes in them so I reamed some holes to attach them to the servo since I was desperate.
If I ever get motivated enough the next time I go home I'll drill some actual holes with a drill but for now my ghetto servo holding job is just fine, especially since it's only on a touring car...

RE: Tamiya TA-03F Resource Thread!
Hi Guys, I know this thread is a bit old but hoping someone can help. I bought a used TA03F to convert in to a drift machine and almost everything is sorted but cannot seem to find any adjustable arms so I can adjust camber front and rear. If anyone knows where I can buy them or even if a part from another chassis will fit or can be modified etc I would be grateful for the information.
