Not enough power to the weight for combat.

Points are scored by cutting your opponant's streamers (in RCCA, for launching on time and flying the whole round too). Whoever has the most points when the dust settles, wins.

Full RCCA rules can be found on the RCCA site.

No need to be sorry either. All questions are good questions!

Sometimes, yes. Most often, the streamer is cut by a wing. Most folks use some sort of sticky substance on their LEs to help with this.

What kind of stickey stuff? Wallace R/C Stickey Stuff, STP Oil Treatment, Honey, 3M77, you name it.

How many planes are in the air at one time?

All depends on how many competitors and what frequencies are being used. I've seen anywhere from 2 to 14 planes in the air at once. The norm seems to be around 6 or 7 at once.

Best bet is to go to a Combat event and see what goes on there. Check the RCCA's Contest Calendar (linked to their homepage) for an event near you. There is also a Sport Combat event calendar at http://www.sportcombat.rcplanet.com/ and a New England combat calendar at http://www.demonrc.rcplanet.com
