Default fun low cost combat type plane

i am looking for a moderatly fast, small airplane that can manuver, do rolls, and has allerons. i dont want to spend much over 200 and i dont care if it is scale. i kind of think that the crazy max is cool but i am not sure. post seggestions

they don't get anymore fun and basic than the battle floyds, they look plain, but are a blast to fly..

If you want something more recognizable, then get a scale foamy from

http://www.jkaerotech.com/

these are some tough birds and will withstand quite a bit of punishment...

I've got one for .049 to 061 engines that is not fast, but builds fast and repairs fast and very cheap to build. It weighs 14 ounces RTF. Made out of balsa and craft store cellophane for covering. I will send plans out to anybody for $5

How about an ARC/.15 Combo for ~$75.00. Includes a J&C Fun Bat and a Magnum XL .15 engine. Add your Hitec 555 RX and 3 HS-81s and you can have blast.

http://www.jchobbies.com/

I went with the just the Fun Bat (~$26.00) and jazzed mine up with an OS .15 CV-A (still puts me inside your $200.00) -- rocket city at half-throttle.

Flat bats ..........Fly AWESOME and are incredably durable. we fly them with LA 40's (because everyone seems to have at least one lying around) and they are cheap !!!! Go to the spad website and check them out

Try a SPAD Dogfighter, mine cost about 10 - $15 for materials and it flys like it is on rails. Find the plans on spadtothebone.com It took about five hours to complete. It was easier than any ARF I have put together.

Check out the [link=http://racores.com/]Combat Gremlin[/link] for low cost fun. Throw a Magnum .36 on one and it flies great but if you enjoy the "need for speed", email me for pics of our own 36 inch version with an MVVS 0.15 that flies like an angry bumble bee.
Currently I'm building one with an MVVS .26 Combat Wombat engine. If it stays in one piece, I'll post the results.

I love my Gremlins, I have built many and have modified several. I added a coroplast tail on one and I omitted the center verticle fins and added verticle fins to the wingtips to another Gremlin. They fly great and are pretty durable. You can have one built and ready to fly in a weekend. My favorite engine combo for my Gremlins so far is the Magnum .28XL with a mousse can muffler. I just put an OS .32 SX with a mousse can muffler on one and I expect it to be a lil bullet.

All Thumbs Jan,

Did you have any luck with your mvvs .15? I bought one thinking it would be a screamer, and Have yet to successfully get any rpm's out of it. What fuel do you run and what glow plug did you use? What was your break in procedure? I would love to use mine on something besides my test stand.

Thanks

Brian
