Default P-51b

I have a P-51 B Mustang from Pica........One of the BEST flying planes that I own.......very stable in the air....as long as you keep the control throws to a minimum.......very strong! I did a "5-point" landing earlier this evening.........hardly any damage..........highly reccomend!

Default P 51 5 point landing....

You didnt say what size engine you had in that 51...was it a glo job or gas fired?? I had a Pica P51... was a good flyer...that is til my Hitec Prizm receiver quit listening ...lol The plane flew great with a Quadra 52 on board... On that landing...you got away with murder there...lol P 51's don't take kindly to slow approaches..or over controlled throws...There are 3 things I was told by my instructor in P 51's....#1 Don't Go Slow.... #2 Don't Go Slow...and #3 Lord O' Mercy, Don't Go Slow.... Best flying tip I ever recieved..lol
Good luck with your 51... next time build a Ziroli example, those 51's fly excellently...I currently fly one that has over 500 flights on her..I reckon you could call her my "beater"...

Adios...

In combat?

Chances are, he's refering to the 'new' 40" P-51B combat model from Pica.
