I just bought some colored packing tape at the local Grainger industrial supply store.
It cost $3.65 per roll. It is 3m brand that they stock however, which is not my first choice for tape as it doesnt stick to foam as well as the walmart type with the duck on it(even when I mist the wing with contact adhesive), I believe the brand is Manco or something like that. It does work however, and my local Grainger had several colors.
I assume most cities have a Grainger store.
What I may do in the future is lay down some good manco tape first at strategic points on the wing so I'll have a good surface for the 3m tape to stick to.
Oh yeah, from my tests with contact adhesives use to mist foam wings to enhance the adhesion of packing tape, I've found that the Duro brand ( ~ $3.50 at Wal Mart ) works just as well as 3m 77 for about hlf the cost. However, 3m 77 still reigns supreme when it comes to laminating peices of foam. ( we're talking about blue or pink foam, not the white stuff ) Just my 2 cents worth.

Dear Geaux,
Like your handle. Another source for tape is www.fast-pack.com. They sell six rolls for nine dollars but with shipping its closer to $15, lots of colors and it works well.

Hey Lou,
I probably will still order some tape from fast pac or that other tape company, I just liked the immediate gratification of purchasing colored tape immediately when I need to
I would bet that the fast pac tape sticks better than the 3m tape.

most of the locally available colored tape is alot heavier than the "zagi" type tapes availble from Fast-pack. It doesn't seem that much heavier, but cover a wing with the manco or 3m, then compare the wing to one done with Zagi, and its quite noticable!
