Default F4U kit

Ive been flying for a while now and was wondering if anyone knew of a combat scale model kit for a F4U coarseair? If you could post links for a kit or pics of your own that would be great. I was hopeing to use an electric motor if possible. Thanks

www.jkaerotech.com makes one of the cheapest and toughest one I know of...

depending on how you finish it, it can be tough or pretty...

JK Aerotech planes totaly rock! They look great in the air and fly as predicted. The Corsair flys fine but I liked the FW-190 the best out of all of their kits, it is also the easiest to build.

Get two you wont be disappointed!

thanks for the help. Ive never actually flown electric. Would a 400 turn fit into a .25? I was also wondering if these smaller planes are harder to fly, ive only flown 40 and larger. Thanks for the help!

Don't know about making a JK Aero electric. If you call them they are very helpful and will give you all kinds of ideas based on their experience and feed back from people who have done some weird things with their planes. I had a blast with a .46 LA in the FW but mostly ran with .25s in the Corsair.

Give them a call.

Randy, what size engine do you run in the Pica? I have thought about getting one and going electric, what do you think?

Vicman, I haven't gotten into electrics yet. A friend of mine has just started and I'm watching him closely. The PICA Corsair flies great on an OS FX .25, any strong .25 will fly it, ie Irvine, Webra, if you're not going to combat it I think a Magnum would fly it just fine.[8D]

Please keep me posted on the electric. Been there done that with the combat thing, you gotta have other people you like to play that game with. But I do like playing with warbirds as you can tell from the previous posts. Check out my GWS Corsair in Lucky Gallon regalia.

Vicman, Awesome looking Corsair. Another buddy of mine is working on an F2-G corsair for combat, if he ever gets it done I'll try and post a pic. It was designed by another friend, framed up no finish. I like the warbirds also if I ever quit combat I'd still fly the planes, they look cool in the air.[8D]

I saw that the GWS kit has landing gear. Does this need to be there or is it possible to land without it and not cause a lot of damege?

No gear just land in the grass. I love this plane! Forget the P-51, Spit, and the 109, they fly like turds. I sent this one up yesterday afternoon stock motor, and 8.4v 730mah nimh got a cool 10 min out of it. damage is no biggie, just use probond let it cure over night, fly the next day!.

I started with the unpainted version. I'm tired of seeing the same ol Corsair everywhere.[:'(] This scheme jumped at me some time ago and this was the first op I had to try it out. I used the cheap glossy water based acrilic from the craft section at Wal-Mart. 4 bucks an airbrush from Testors and voila!

I got the GWS Zero flightpack, tossed the nicad and use a 8.4v 730mah nimh also from GWS. Flightpack about $110, battrey about $27. LiPo is the trick but I'm not ready to dump the coin on a new charger yet.[&:]

no, it has 3 servos and a speed control. Batery and Receiver. the gws corsair would only have ailerons, elevator and rudder. Good deal.

Don't try to snake the ailerons. Use two servos, one in each wing GWS even put an update in the kits showing how to do it. 4 servos[:@]. If you didn't care about rudder you could use that servo.

just finished the JKA pocket rocket mustang....looks cool ,,crashed it twice,, no damage at all,,no real flight at all either yet......
