Just a before picture of my new Mig-- going to test fly it before painting on a camo color scheme that I found. Strenghtened with a ply spar with Carbon tow cap strips and a glassed LE. Dry weight 2 lb 4 oz with a muffled (for now) Norvel in the nose.
Now on to the Avenger kit that I bought.

That would look VERY cool!
Even better is that Rustolium has all of those colors in spray cans to make it easy to pull off:
Hunter Green
Dark Hunter Green
Sand
Harbor Blue
If you can, could you bring it with you to Holden next Saturday? I'd love to see it in person.

That's Hudson, and if I can make it (even if it is for a couple of hours), I will- no guarantees as to whether it'll be done though- I build WAY too slow.

Well, it flies like a bat out of you know where and, after upping the aileron throws rolls acceptably fast. It does snap out of full deflection loops but that is just a minor irritation. Engine still needs breaking in- flame out on 2 of 3 flights. Glides fast but sink rate is great. Likes to torque left on hand launch- just something to remember. Overall a very pleasing test flight session.
Now that it has proved itself, it's time for paint!

Hats off to JKA for a fine design. The only thing that i'd change on the instructions is that I would install the tank from the front before putting the firewall on- snaking the brass rods through the firewall from the side was a daunting task to say the least.
