Default spad kombat king?

I watched a brief furball recently between a couple of spad bats and a kombat king. The king (not a spad) was flying circles around the bats. Does anyone know of a plan for a spad king?
I haven't built a spad yet but would like to do this one if I had some construction help.

I havn't seen the Kombat King, but all questions about SPADS can be answered at

www.spadtothebome.com

Go to the forum and ask your question. Someone will be able to answer it right away.

Default Spad King?

Hey Griff,
Where exactly did you see the Kombat King? I am familiar with most of the Spads in this area and have not heard of the "King".
I have built quite a few Spads, and I may be able to help.

Are you refering to a king combat? I know a guy in our club who used to fly balsa king combats. Instead of balsa he used coroplast ribs (4 mil) and used 2 mil to cover it. He also has some spars in it. It is the same design as a king combat, it is just made out of coroplast.

One other thing, they don't fly as well as the balsa king combat. It just gets too heavy with coroplast.

Your probably right midair, and he did say it would be heavy if made out of coro.
I saw it in Fruitland Pk. 3D. It wasn't a spad.

I also suspect you saw a King Kombat. They fly great! The only SPAD I've ever seen come close to keeping up with a King Kombat would possibly be a Sickle. But after a mid-air, a Sickle pilot will probably keep on flying while the King Kombat pilot is walking to the crash site.

Here's my DaWing, which was evolved from the all balsa King Kombat. Does this look similar to the plane you saw?

Yeah that does look a lot like it Dave. I ended up building the dogfighter from spadtothebone.com. It flies real well, but nothing like I saw the King fly.
