Well, my buddy and I have pretty much taken over a church's parking lot. It's on the edge of town surrounded by cornfields, so it is wide open. The pastor has even come out and watched several times and enjoyed it. As long as we don't hit the church, cough cough, he's cool with it. They have events that happen during the evenings, around when we go flying and the wind dies, but everyone is so used to us, that they usually park over out of the way.

lol sounds like you fly electrics! or the church might have a different opinion with you flying petrol planes. i fly at the local club mostly but sometimes i fly at a mates farm, down at the club everyone gets there about 9am and leaves at about 12 so i am looking for some ideas to make the club a bit more inviting to stay alot longer. at the moment we have around 20 members, we lease a bit of land off a local farmer with a shed on it. i will post some pics when i get some!

Pundi, yeah, they don't really "KNOW" that it happened, but there is a spot where you can visibly and easily see the impact. It was a Super Stiffy with a spinner on the front, hit so hard and straight on that it actually broke a piece of the grouting off. OOps, or I mean, I dont know how that happened.

hi all
am fairly new on rcu but love the site !
our club is really lucky with it's site as we own a four acre field with a large (enough) square tarmac strip with it's own on site parking, starting plynths, hut, public acess lane (shared with farmers) and best of all no flying resrictions
(including sound restrictions)
as the club is half a mile from the rearest road
sadly the club only has 30 members ( many of which fly rarly) yet in the south clubs have waiting lists for members[sm=thumbdown.gif]
will try and get some photo's up
just my chip ..
