Default SLOW COMBAT...sorta.... IN CANADA

Hey guys, just wanted to let people know that we up here in Canada....eh... are doing something a bit different with regards to combat. Its what we call up here.....slow combat. Its definately not Slow Survivable Combat nor do we have hard and fast rules, we don't track any results just bragging rights for that day. Every week, we send out an email to all the combatants to review what happened and stretch out the truth, tell stories and lies and generally poke fun at each other.

We have been doing this for over 4 years now in Toronto, Ont with about 3-4 different clubs getting involved. The maximum engine size is .15, no tuned pipes, no high performance engines, just run of the mill stuff. Planes are made from foam and balsa and yes the do blow up real good on impact.....none of this plastic stuff. Half of us are crazy doing this and the other half are just nuts!!!

We found that by eliminating all the rules, schedules, etc etc, we had more people showing up to the field with these small combat planes and having more fun than they ever thought possible. Since there was no competition and no pressure, people were more laid back and this became the norm instead of a fad.

We have been using a typical "One Design" platform but anything really works. We do fly plastic as well, but we agreed to having plastic vs plastic and wood vs wood when in combat. The orignal design that we are using is called "CAUTION". Don't be fooled by the look....these planes really rock and are blast to fly. We are also selling these as short kits which include CNC foam wings and all the parts laser cut. We have made every attempt to keep the cost down and more importantly.....North American made!!!!

Please check out our slow combat photo album which shows the pilots, planes, midairs, construction tips etc.... there are over 118 pics to view so enjoy. www.starontech.com/slowcombat

Hope we have piqued your interest.

See ya on the field
