What is the best combat Spad?

I like the balsa stick 40 fitted with a 46 size engine. I make tail feathers out of coroplast and all foam wing covered in shelf paper.

i might start combat, so i was just wondering which plane i should build for it. What class do 40 size planes fly in?

C class, which requires a 250 foot setback of spectators from the flight line, which is why B is a heckuva lot more popular. A class only needs 62.5 foot setbacks.


Dogfigthers or Saturday Night midgets for 25 size. FNS if you want rudder combat, it's a fun little ship.

I like Daggers for 40 size combat. And for 15 Derringers for A, HOR for SSC.

Are dogfighters an easy build for a beginner? If not, which spad should i build for a combat begginer?

Yes, Dogfighters are an easy to build, easy to fly and fun combat ship.

Dogfighter. Built two one for me and one for a fellow club member. Since taking them to the field another two people have built them. They are simply AWESOME with a .25FX

Personally my 2 favorites of all time are the Dart and the derelict. If you cant already tell Im addicted to V-tail love them! they just have alot better responce and theres less drag si Id go with one of those 2
