Default Rx battery for Zagi 3C

I am building an unpowered Zagi 3C, and My first CG (center of Gravity) test shows that I am Very Nose Heavy. I currently have a 4 Cell Battery in the nose for the Receiver. What batteries have you guys used for this Plane (or the ZAGI THL, Zagi Combat)?
I will also post this in the gliders forum.

Thanks in advance.

That's surprising!!! I have a Zagi 3-C and it has a standard 4.8V 600mah pack. I also had Hitec HS-81 servos for the elevons, but needed nose weight, so after a while, I took the 81's out, and put in standard size Futaba S-148's. In general, Zagis need a significant amount of weight in the nose to offset all of the wing material that lies behind the CG due to the sweep of the wing. I am EXTREMELY surprised that your 3-C is coming out nose heavy. -Eric-

Your right!
after getting the elevons, wing tips, and hardware, it balances out well.

Thanks

Sounds good Jon,
You'll like the 3-C. It's noticably faster than the Zagi LE. Seems more stable too, at least compared to my buddy's plane. Good luck and have fun. Set up a with the CG a little further back, it will perform outside loops, and roll as long as you can keep the nose slightly up and pointed into the wind. 108 rolls in a roll, non stop is my personal record. Fun stuff!!! -Eric-

I just completed my 3C this afternoon and I had to add 3 oz of lead to the nose. I put a Hitec flightpack in it with the HS81's, 555 rcvr andthe 275 MA battery pack. It was designed for full size equipment so I guess it's ok. It's amazing! Bounces off rocks, chainlink fence , my car. Did I have fun? Youbetcha !!! Can't wait for the wind to blow.
