Keith,

Dave Davis from Jeffersonville, IN is an active combat flyer. Mark Schoefield, and others are further north.

Dave is active on the forum and flies the Battle Axe so you might ask him about that as well. Looking forward to flying with you!

Earlier this year, there was a really good SSC contest in Richmond, IN. I don't know if they are holding it again this year, but I hope so.

There were also contests in Ohio that aren't that far away. There should be 1 or 2 in Lima next season. There's another group in Ohio as well, but I don't think they were running SSC last year.

Be sure to check on the RCCA calendar at www.rccombat.com.

And, of course there is Nats.

Mark Schofield from Indy is also an active flier. We had meets in Indy, Lima, OH, Richmond, IN, Bryan, OH, and Lenox Twp, MI (about 45 minutes north of Detroit) that attract an active and fun crew of combat fliers from the IN/WI/OH/MI area. Be sure and monitor www.rccombat.com (RCCA web site), from the home page click on the "Start Combat" menu and you'll find the "Combat Calendar of Events." Upcoming events will be posted on there. It's a bit early for the 2008 season events to be posted yet, but we do have the Radio Control Club of Detroit (Lenox Twp, MI) events posted, they are 5/17-18 and Aug 9-10. It's a great group of guys who will help you get up and running, trust me it's a lot of fun!

What class are you looking to fly? We put on two events a year here in northwest ohio, about an hour northeast of fort wayne. we fly open and limited b. Mark is working at an early spring event right in Muncie and would be a good one for you to hook up with soon, he needs a combat buddie as him and Dave seem to be our lone Hosers.

Welcome aboard

Sean
