RE: EPP Gremlin
Nick,
We messed around with EPP gremlins 10 years ago. We got them to fly better if we eliminated the downspout and reversed the sweep to save weight and get the motor closer to the CG (no need for a fuselage then).
~Many revisions later, we came up with "The Predator" which spawned a fleet of similar designs:

The Predator is a good flying plane. Then again, the Gremlins were pretty good too. Predators don't turn into snowstorms when you run em into each other though.

Don't know why one couldn't employ building techniques used on other combat wings. White, blue or pink foam behind the spar/cg area and softer foam in front. otherwise a "smack wing". 1/8" FG spars and bidi will work on a gremlin as well as any other.
Just be very cautious not to be to heavy...GREMLINS LIKE TO BE LIGHT
