It does not have to be a flatbat, anything will do.; Just wanting something to stick the SPAD flatbat wing on to have a little fun with, It will only be flown in a small combat (2 rounds) a year with the rest of the time just having it to fly around for fun.

I second the HOR fuse selection. It is tougher than the bat. If you must use a bat, I found some at the local sporting goods store (Big-5 I think), also in Walmart in the toy dept.
I have heard there are different grades of flat bats, but since I have never used it... (I bought a couple at Big-5 with the intention of using them, but ended up using downspout and now aluminum)

I've flown the hor and the Cramer bats, and with a hdpe firewall, the Cramer bats will survive dirtnaps and mid-airs that the hors will not. The HORS are great, don't get me wrong, I still fly them, but their 2 disadvantages are exposed servos, fuel tank, battery and rx, unless you bury in the wing, and they have a tendency to bend right around the front wing hold down dowels/bolts. For general flying around, the HORS are a blast!
