Glue for epp foam?
 

What's the best glue to use on epp foam. I need something good to glue it to wood. I also need to know what is best for sticking the RSN to the epp foam.

epoxy or poly glue works good for me for sticking foam to anything, don't mess with rsn too much, so I'd only guess foam safe CA or water-based polyurathane mixed with elmers glue.

The best glue for EPP is Goop. It sticks like crazy and stays flexible, allowing the foam to continue to bend with out breaking the glue joint.

I haven't done ripstop with EPP yet, but the folks I know who have do it the same as with EPS.

Goop works great on EPP, but ONLY on EPP. It will eat any other kind of foam. BUT, I don't think anything will stick to goop if it is smeared on the outer surfaces to be covered. Use it carefully and don't let it get on the surfaces to be covered.

I've had tremendous success with Elmers PROBOND. Just follow the directions.

Ditto on the Probond Polyurethane.

3M77 spray works pretty good too.

You can even use CA on EPP foam.

For the ripstop nylon, water-based polyurethane mixed with white glue works best. Coat the EPP foam, smooth out the RSN, then run another coat of glue/WBP over that. Finally, top coat with clear WBP.

the best glue we found for epp to wood is a glue called WELBOND. We use it to glue our cap strips onto the foam ribs.

I use both! Goop and Pro-bond, depending on the situation. Probond can save you some weight over goop if you spray it with some water first. By expanding, you don't need as much, thus you use less of it. But like Montague said, goop stays flexible, which is nice, whereas Probond hardens.
