Hi
I need help I have been searching for days
and still I have no answer
I went and had a look at the e10 and didnt really like the build construction of the car
so now Iam left in the open and I really want to start drifting
I used to do rc and I had tc3's, rs4's and tt01
and for touring racing the tc3 left an impact
So now people have been saying that the best chassis to go for is the tt01 and tb03, I must say that with the tt01 I wasnt really impressed, very strong car just not for me
so for this current stage what is the choice of car and why
These are the Cars I have looked at with my thoughts,
TC3/4 - awesome car !!! , parts availability and price is the disadvantage
TT01 - like I said was not impressed
cyclone drift - it has already been discontinued on the european site, why
e10 hpi - too much of a budget car for me, Ican identify were the costs were saved
sprint 2 hpi - belts have been said to wear out quick
tb03 and ta05 - I know nothing of
so please help what should I get I am preppared to pay 230 for a rolling chassis
thanks

first off...The TT01 is a pretty damn hard chassis......almost unbreakable
second....What type of chassis do you want? Belt drive, or shaft drive. if its Belt drive, then ill go for the tb05, and no, the belts dont wear through that fast, if you keep an eye on the tention of the belt, youll be good to go for a while. and belt cars are a bit more responsive on the throttle
Shaft driven cars are great (i personally prefere shaft). You can be more constant around corners with them. here ill take the tb03 or the Yokomo drift pack.
in my opinion........the two Tamiya's your looking at is decent and good buys, but i tend to lean towards the tb03 as its shaft driven
Yokomo

TB03 with the conversion kit

TA05

The Sprint 2 needs a couple mods and the belt problem goes away. The TA05 if you can find the older version not like the one shown in the pic that one has the shocks mounted at a weird angle the older version has them mounted upright but that preference is your own I thought about buying the chassis it looks good

In the $150 and under price range - (1) Castle Creations sidewinder 5700kv system, super smooth throttle, great PC programming. (2) LOSI Xcelorin 4800kv system, same performance as sidewinder and great PC program. I used both systems and both were great.
