I am not really in to on road cars but i got a really good deal on a rs4 type 3ss. Since just driving up and down the road is boring i have decided that im going to give drifting a try. Im wondering what i need to do to this car to make it a drift car. I have ordered some tires on ebay so they should be here soon. It has two speed trans do i need to change the gearing on it? And while im asking are there any upgrades that anyone would reccomend on the car? I look forward to trying to drift. Thanks

Hey,I'm in the same boat as you, wanting to start drifting an RS4 3 SS.I should have some fuel this weekend and then I'll be able to break it in and start trying to get it to slide.I'll share with you what I come up with and some pics.

I'd recomend tossing a front 1-way in for starters. the car will drift with just adding tires, but, you'll find it pushy because of the weight and diffs wanting to make it go straight.

Well i got some tires yesterday. I do not know how much i am going to like this since the car just slides around like its on glass. Its fun for a little while. I bought abs tires off of ebay and they have absolutely no traction. Very hard to build up any speed. Did i get the wrong tires or is this what i have to get used to if i want to try drifting?

u can try raikou drift tyres, dxpe or d68. i her its a lot cheaper than hpi tyres and many use them for comps on both tech and fast tracks. http://www.raikoudrifttires.com/tires.html thats the link
