I have a TT01 that aquired but I have been going through motors like money! How do you guys set your gear mesh?! Also, all I have left is an old stinger 20t motor, what pinion should I use if it has the stock (what looks to be spur).

20t should be fine on stock gearing unless your running 2s+ or some crazy battery setup.
Make sure you have the original pinion and spur, not upgraded.<br type="_moz"/>

Would I be able to use 2s? This is the esc that I have been using, will this hold me over 'till I get an actual one? What pitch is it? I had to modify the motor mount so I can adjust it.

I really need help, The gear mesh also sounds horrid. I need a new/better motor mount gear cover, the one I have on it (stock) binds on the pinion gear not allowing it to turn.

motors keep burning up! I have a 20t pinion, Now the gearmesh sounds like all holly heck! I may try and find a new motor mount and gear cover, the old owner cut way the gear cover since the pinion was hitting it and the motor coundn't turn. He also cut slots into the mount to slide the motor, but that dosen't work it all sounds terrible!.

stick a 19tooth or a 18 tooth on it should be fine.(had the same problem with my Duratrax conversion and my Clodbuster) but yea you should have no mesh sounds at all once you get a smaller pinion on it thats whats really eating away at your motors. and if your esc starts get hot after you stick a smaller pinion on ithe motor might have to get a Higher turn motor
sorry for late reply forget about this site sometimes
