Default new project (help!)

hi all, new to the site so please be gentle.

i have just recieved this in the post

it was advertised as a hpi rs4 rtr3 drift car.

so i got it out of the box it came in, unwrapped it all and took it into the garden to give it a start and test it out.

now i have had a few nitro cars before so i have an good idea what im doing. stuck the clow started in, pulled the pullstart and wahay! it started first time..... But it decided to rev its knackers off and nearly shot across the garden. i should have set the factory settings before i started it. anyway i decided to have a play and looked on the internet for the manual.

now i cant find any cars what look the same as this under the hpi rs4 range? does anybody know what exact model it is. i took a guess at some settings i had seen which looked similar to the car. it started and ran, i let it warm up for a minute before giving it a rev. but then it started to cut out so i carried on playing with the tuning. it ticked over well but then all of a sudden would cut out. iv set the settings back to factory and now it wont start at all. can anyone hazard a guess whats wrong with it or could i have just bought a bum car

Thanks,
Tom

Default RE: new project (help!)

I'm afraid you won't get much help in this section. It is a drifter but with a nitro-related issue. I recommend you post the issue in the "General RC' Section
