Default starter kit?

probably the most frequently asked question on here but what do i start with? trying to get into the drifting scene with the 1/10th models instead of just the real thing.

ive seen hpi and tamiya recomended by people but i havent seen a straight answer.

im just looking for something i can end up doing alot of upgrades too and also of course i want the r32 skyline body on it.
also i want to have a kit if possible for me to build the rc car from the ground up so i understand it if anything breaks.
but in which i can get easily and readily parts (upgrades/custom parts) for the car.
and what model do i go for the e10? sprinter 2? those tt models? so many of them i dont know whats what lol

does anyone know where i can get all this in one shot?ive seen some crazy awesome videos of people drifting there custom done cars and i really want a piece of that.

so please help a noob out lol<br type="_moz" />

Default RE: starter kit?

I like the Yokomo' s and the best place them i have found is rc.race-and-drift-japan.com they are in Japan and have very good rates they also are always keeping on top of there inventories and Tim is great on responding to emails.

Below is a link to the starter Yokomo Drift chassis is it a Kit so you need the Radio, electronics, Battery and charge.

I love my C-Type and working on going to a countersteer set-up with it. also, I am setting up Yokomo's DIB chassis and will document the build for sharing.

I get most of may parts from the Race and Drift Japan site. A Main Hobbies is now a Yokomo dealer so they should be able to get most parts for the drift chassis if you email what you need but i seem to get most parts from Japan faster than domestic mail for the most part and i am in Houston, Texas.

What better than to have the chassis that started the whole wave of RC Drifting. and there are tones of hop up from several Asian and Domestic dealers.

This is my opinion and you mileage may vary.

My only advice is get a chassis that is in your price range and then get the peices that you done have and practice because you need wheel time to get good.
