Default cutting tread into ABS

I just purchased 4 Kawada VX Wheels and 4 ABS tires on ebay the other day for $14.00. Thought it was a good deal. Anyway think I saw a picture on this forum or another with a picture of a drifter with tread cut into his abs. I was thinking could i just print out a picture of my favorite tire pattern and then use an exato knife to trace it onto the ABS and then dremel it out. Just need your thoughts first pic is the deal i got on ebay the second is the tread design i am thinking about doing. by the way this is going a NTC3+.

thanks.

just put my abs tires on the Nitro TC3 and went to play on the street. Let me tell you ABS/PVC is a joke with a nitro. first i could not move but maybe 2 mph, then it would not steer for crap, and well really was not what i was expecting. I am going to ditch the ABS/PVC thing and just use rubber, I can drift pretty good with the rubber tires.
