Default Lights, sounds and drifting

Been drifting with PVC with a old Yokomo and enjoying it.
A boring day lead to me taking apart my portable CD player's
speakers and mounting them on a old shell. I cut two holes in
the roof of the car and this allowed the speakers to shine
through. I also used a small MP3 player sitting inside the car. I
took the car out and it looked really cool but it was still missing
something so i used an old torch with a sweet wrapper over
the end to make the light purple. Just as it was getting dark
i took it out again and it looked so cool. Will post some pics
when i take some tommorrow.RC car lights and music from
things lying around the house. What mods have you made to
your car to improve the look and sound of it?

Hey that is sweet! You rock!! I mean i'm into helis but that sounds cool enough to really be tempting. You could change songs from your transmitter, PLUS A SEVRO FOR EACH TIRE SO IT COULD BUMP!!

I obvisously dont have as many channels on my tranny as you do. I have seen it done though and it does look sweet.
You should put some speakers on you heli.

Umm, about the speakers. . . . . can you hear them at all? How far does the sound travel?

they are really good you can hear them from about 20 metres away and when the car stops the body shakes.

In 1:1 drifitng competition, we get points for "overall impact" (which is the only reason you see big wings on drift cars). Flashing headlights and such are frequently used on the Japanese D1 cars (Taniguchi's old HKS S15 had them, I'll bet his new HKS Altezza does too). I think thats a cool mod for a drift car!.
