drifting a tamiya stadium truck
I recently found out about rc drifting on the internet. I was familiar with real drifting but i was unaware of the rc drifting community i would love to get involved. I have learned about the pvc drift tires which i have already put on my Tamiya Chevy S10 stadium truck. You would think that since it has such a soft suspension it wouldnt work but it works amazing i am practicing alot. This picture is not of my truck but you get the idea. Ill have some pics of mine posted later and im hoping to get some videos too but that might not happen. Thanx for all the help ive recieved from this forum.

RE: drifting a tamiya stadium truck
I tired drifting my tamiya stadium thunder, it is 2wd so it doesn't work good. I recently bought a tamiya tt01 just for drifting. But that truck is 4wd right??? Cuz its the tL01 chassis, correct? Thats why it works so good.

Yea it is 4 wheel drive. From everything ive read online and experienced in real life i have figured out that it has to be 4 wheel drive to control the slide.

RWD Is better for real drifting, Oversteer is what you need to swing the back around. All the real drift cars i've seen are RWD.
I can't imagine drifting in a 4WD car (to much traction you can't get sideways) I would think it would also aply to RC cars.

and you also can compare NOTHING between real drifting and rc drifting. check out the 2 other threads discussing this
trying to drift a 2wd rc is near impossible due to weight transfer/placement and overall physics and design of a RC
you HAVE to have 4wd in rc to do drifting at all
