Looking for people to work with to build a complete guide on drifting basics, all the way to advanced topics, and beyond. If you have a good working knowledge of R/C cars, drifting R/C cars, and all around mechanical experience I would like to work with you on this guide. The purpose of the guide is to provide a 'one stop shop' for beginners looking for answers to their questions, instead of posting a thread that has been asked several times before or neglecting to use the search feature on the forum.
Here's what I think the guide's TOC should look like:
Those willing to participate can drop a line here on the forum, or we could all get together through an IM client / chat room to discuss things together. All grudges and child's play aside we all need to work together to provide those new to the hobby or drifting a place they can get answers, fast.
Here's what I think the guide's TOC should look like:
1. Introduction...
2. Terms used...
3. Choosing the right equipment...
4. ABS/PVC/DRIFT RINGS???...
5. Practicing the art of drifting...
6. Tuning to better improve your drift...
7. Advanced techniques...
8. Retailers/On-line shops/eBay...
9. Manufacturers...

CSSDEV, Glad to lend a hand, your layout looks very thorough and informing, maybe a section on asking people that been drifting some of their own teqniques and tricks.

That's what I was thinking when I wrote down advanced techniques, so all the 1337 drifters can lend their tips. I guess sometime I can start writing an introduction and people can add to it. Once the intro's complete we can move onto the next section, then the next, and so on and so forth...

I'd be glad to try and compile a list of manufacturers and links unless you dont want to do that one right now ?
