Default Planning to strat drifting soon! Car Trouble.

Hey guys! i'm getting back into RC after like a 10 year absence. But instead of the off road that i was in i'm wanting to get into drifiting and touring cars. Basically i'm stuck between the Yokomo Drift Package 180sx and the TC-3 (or 4 if i can afford). I looked at the tt01 and the tl but i can afford the other two so i'm gonna buy the better ones.

Thing is i want to drift as well as race at the local club, so i need to know which car to go with. Many people reckon the TC3 over the Yokomo coz it's a touring can that can drift. But the Yokomo is the MR4TC chassis which is thier 4wd touring car so why not go the yokomo? It's not ONLY a drifting car.

My local shop here in South Africa carries the same level of stock of both brands (maybe the TC3 a little more) so getting parts for either will be just as difficult as the other.

I'm kinda swinging toward the Yokomo atm. But just wanting some advice before i buy.

Thankx

Well, swing the other way. It may represent the MR4-TC CGM chassis, but it's made out of cheaper plastics and lower quality parts. Go with the TC3/4 and get the Yokomo body set, you'll be set for drifting/racing/bashing for quite a while. The resell value of the Associated is also higher and more sought after than the Yokomo.
