Default Is a brushless motor worth it?

Im planning on buying a brushless motor pretty soon. Hobby Town has a kit for $221. it has a novak esc and an ss4300 motor. Is it worth the money? Can you also run normal tires on it withough many problems? or is it only good for drifting?

Since when was brushless made for drifting? It should be thought of visa-versa. It's made for longer run-times and more power compared to a brushed motor. If you're buying it just for drifting, it's a waste of money. If you plan on racing around with some grip tires you'll have a blast with it. More information on the Novak BL system can be found in the motor/engine category. [8D]

Me either, Tower has it for 179.99: [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGDP6&P=ML]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGDP6&P=ML[/link] Maybe you meant the SS5800 for 219.99?
