hey idk if this is just me, or this happens to all of u guys, but my esc is burnin after i dirft for like 10 minutes. Its probrobly becuase of the constant throttle on the motor, but idk... I've been dirfting with my car since i got it running, and i havent been tc racing on a track so i dont know if a hot esc is a result of all kinds of racing, please fill me in, becuase i dont feel like throwing another 50 bucks for a melted esc...

I second that, my esc gets barely warm and my motor isnt even that hot. Try a spur and pinion combo for midrange to low end power and make sure your mesh is set not to tight!

yea i had that problem with my brushless. but once it was getting hot it automatically shut off. since ive started racing i've noticed people putting fans over their ESC and some puting em over their Motors if you want to run cooler. the fans are like $10 and well worth it. look at your LHS im thinkin about investing my money on one. they are about the size of a Quarter and they work wonders.

Yea, I'd like to know as well. I don't need to know for fan purposes, but to power some LED's. LOL.
For drifting, optimal gear ratios differ depending on what motor you're running. It's safe to say that you can use a 6.5:1 final drive ratio for both 27T stock and 19T spec motors. For brushless, you want a 7.5:1 final drive ratio. That way, you'll get cooler temps and longer runtime.

ok they do plug it into their third channel. it goes on as soon as the ESC is powered. all of them have it powered from thier third channel nowhere else.. go figure.

Those are very cool fans, and that guy seems to really know his fans (pun maybe? lol). I think i could use a fan in all of my RC's.
