Default TRUCK drifting

don't know if it's "really" possible, but anyone seen any trucks drift.

I tried it yesterday, but can't be called a real drift (I was on a dust running track). It looke like touring car drifts, but of course i can't do that on asphalt.

Any ways I might be able to drift a truck? I'm pretty new to this, but anything used on touring cars that might be applied to a truck? (maybe put tape on the tyres etc...) tips please.

Just thought it would be a fun topic [sm=wink.gif]

As long as it has All Wheel Drive then yes It can be done to a Truck

All Wheel drive is Essential for RC Drift...

There is nothing Stopping you from Whacking a Set of 1:10 Scale Touring Car Rims with PVC Tyres and hitting the Conrete for a Slide, other then it may look a little odd..

you might need to lower and stiffen the suspension to get a better slide also

Suspension is already pretty stiff. Not sure how I would go about lowering it tho.

Most of the drift techiniques worked pretty well on the grit track.

Sadly I won't get to try it again for a while... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4222669/tm.htm

i say lower it so it doesnt roll as much in the turns and also to keep the most abs tire contact because with abs u need uber traction or its uncontrollable. what tires will you be using?

How do you drift a pede? I find that hard to belive, fishtale a bunch but I dont know if it would really be a drift...

I mean I heard of 2wd drifting, but whats the dif between a fishtale or spin out and a drift?

I thought 4wd was needed for RC drifts to really be pulled off....

Tail Out = Tail Slides out
Spin Out.. The rear Wheels try to push past the fronts resulting in a Spin..
Fishtail : Geting the Tail out Slide way left and Right with minimal Sideways Action..

Fishtailing is not Drifting .. it is the connection of Left and Right tail outs.. To be considered a Drift the Tail must Slide Parralel to the corner taken then travel Sideways

So a Fish Tail Drift is the connection of the Left and Right parralel Sliding

Drift = The Art of Tailing out and Keeping the Tail out while negotaiating a Set Course of Left and Right curves..

In the real world, Yes Drift can be done with a RWD Car in the RC World.. Next to impossible to pull off convincing Drift..

Awd IS needed for Completion and connection of Drifts..
